About me

I retired as a senior human factors specialist in the Boeing Commercial Airplanes Flight Deck Engineering group in January of 2025 after a forty year career in aviation human factors. At Boeing, I contributed to design decision on all the models, provided human factors support to accident and incident investigations, and led an effort to improve the way human factors issues were addressed in these investigations. Before coming to Boeing in 2007, I ran a consulting practice for five years, and before that worked in human factors research at Honeywell for nineteen. I can be reached at vic@victorriley.com.
